At Marquette PT all our therapists are trained in the Graston® Technique. The Graston® tools are a set of stainless steel instruments that allow the physical therapist to diagnose and treat areas of soft tissue dysfunction. The instruments provide tactile feedback to both the physical therapist and the patient as it acts as an extension of the therapist’s own hands.
Clinical experience has shown the Graston® Technique to be helpful in the management of a large variety of musculoskeletal disorders which include carpal tunnel syndrome, cervical pain, IT band syndrome, back pain, muscle strain, plantar fasciitis and tendonitis among others.
The patient will have reduced numbness and pain and healing takes place faster and more completely than with traditional treatments alone. Please check out their website or give us a call to see if this technique would be beneficial to you.
