Physical therapy is used in a variety of ways to treat you and your injuries or imbalances you may have. It will reduce pain, restore mobility prevent disability and increase your strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. Muscle and joint pain can be addressed by your physical therapist in several ways. At Marquette PT we will first decrease inflammation, pain and scar tissue with manual techniques including Graston® Technique as well as neurological techniques such as kinesio taping. Secondly, we will interrupt the pain cycle with dry needling and electrical stimulation. Lastly we will restore symmetry and strength with appropriate stretching, strengthening and balance exercises. The following provides information on some of the treatment techniques we may employ to help you return to your normal daily activities.
